The Project

The “time rather than stuff” online shop has transformed the trend towards growing consumption into a new contemporary way of gift-giving. Instead of the fourth mobile or seventh perfume, the gift ideas contain a much more valuable property – time spent together. The shop was launched four weeks before Christmas as a product of Scholz & Volkmer to reinforce the agency’s positioning as a socially responsible organisation.

The campaign spread virally, resulting in over 125,000 website visits in the first four weeks. And 5,000 time gifts were given – without using any media budget.
